It’s always been one of my favourite silos as I love the rich colours in this one and the story behind it also.The Patchewollock Silo was painted by a Brisbane artist by the name of Fintan Magee. For inspiration for his silo mural and to get to the know the people of the area, Fintan booked a room at the local pub so he could mix among the local community.It wasn’t long before he met the subject for the Patchewollock Silos. A hard working lanky local by the name of Nick “Noodle” Hulland who exemplified the no-nonsence, hardworking spirit of the region.This twin silo was built in 1939 and was transformed in late 2016 and now portrays the classic Aussie farmer wearing a blue “flanny” shirt.","author_name":"Annette Green","author_url":"https://streetartcities.com/users/4e8307bc-1993-4262-99da-a37e98cb5f05","thumbnail_url":"https://streetartcities.com/media/5/587b0f52-b0a4-4787-b64b-bd12233e61e8/1024.jpg","thumbnail_width":1024,"width":480,"height":480,"html":"<iframe src=\"https://streetartcities.com/markers/16693/embed\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" style=\"border:none;border-radius:12px;max-width:100%;\" loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"fullscreen; storage-access\" title=\"Patchewollock Silo Art by Fintan Magee\"></iframe>","cache_age":3600}
