At the initiative of local inhabitants and through voluntary community work, a park was created on the previously barren hill. Over the following decade, it became one of Finland’s oldest and historically most valuable municipal urban parks. The *Vartiokuja* mural celebrates this spirit of cooperation among the people of Turku and the history of the park. The mural was painted in 2025 https://www.jukkahakanen.fi/portfolio/Paintings/vartiokuja%2Bturku%2Bseinamaalaus%2Bmuraali%2Bjukkahakanen \"VARTIOKUJA - Maalaa Jukka Hakanen","author_name":"Kaamis","author_url":"https://streetartcities.com/users/f9ae8644-20c6-49fc-bb43-dd846b9a4614","thumbnail_url":"https://streetartcities.com/media/8/86f462b0-f2a7-46c0-911f-365eacfd05c7/1024.jpg","thumbnail_width":1024,"width":480,"height":480,"html":"<iframe src=\"https://streetartcities.com/markers/459a3d29-bef8-4661-a54c-dcf959aafee9/embed\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" style=\"border:none;border-radius:12px;max-width:100%;\" loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"fullscreen; storage-access\" title=\"Untitled by JUKKA HAKANEN\"></iframe>","cache_age":3600}
