Het is een uitvergrote tekening van zijn destijds achtjarige kleindochter, als muurschildering uitgevoerd door Cindy Sprokel en Pieter Jan Kuiken. De twee gestileerde, minimalistische figuren die elkaar kussen, met daarnaast de handgeschreven tekst 'Smokje' is een bekende blikvanger in de historische wijk en verbeeldt de Groningse gezelligheid en volkscultuur.
