In 1941, it was converted into a fire-fighting pond, and in 1950, it was paved with concrete. After years of dispair, in 2024 the area was renovated upon initiative and with support of Braunschweig-born basketball player Dennis Schröder, who was discovered on the street courts of the area to kick-off his international career. After its re-opening in December of 2024, the youth and skate park host a versatile skating parcours and a number of basketball courts (full and half) and is sourrounded by many benches and spots to rest.","author_name":"metroperspective","author_url":"https://streetartcities.com/users/1b6234de-9f94-475c-89e8-a978b48a951b","thumbnail_width":1024,"width":480,"height":480,"html":"<iframe src=\"https://streetartcities.com/markers/8f28c2ca-0306-4b35-8976-af6fc6997a4e/embed\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" style=\"border:none;border-radius:12px;max-width:100%;\" loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"fullscreen; storage-access\" title=\"Rollschuhbahn Prinz-Albrecht-Park\"></iframe>","cache_age":3600}
