Met zijn zwavelstok, toen een moderne versie van een lucifer, ging hij met een ladder de lantaarnpalen af. With this mural we pay tribute to the profession that brought light to the darkness.“A mural is a nice way of telling stories, and certainly when you can learn something.” Artist Rosalie.The lamplighter was employed by the municipality (aha, hence the town hall!) and provided lighting in the city center of Doetinchem. With his matchstick, then a modern version of a match, he went down the lampposts with a ladder.
