Their red and white striped lighthouse needed a restauration job, and this made it possible to temporarily change its appearance. The lighthouse has a monumental status. Therefore it normally cannot have its appearance changed by law. But this time it was temporarily possible.My design was the winning design, and so I saw myself painting a 55 meter high lighthouse in a cherrypicker. Such an adventure! In 3 weeks time the job was done. I kept some of the red and white, but added ocean blue, with whales, seals and divers swimming around. After the festival, that lasted a month, the lighthouse was restaurated and brought back to its original colors.","thumbnail_url":"https://streetart.media/d/d6a31b1c-abb8-4efe-8e1c-95d1a45bd71f/1024.jpg","thumbnail_width":1024,"width":480,"height":480,"html":"<iframe src=\"https://streetartcities.com/markers/e8f34f64-7a09-4d62-b071-ca22ea252669/embed\" width=\"480\" height=\"480\" style=\"border:none;border-radius:12px;max-width:100%;\" loading=\"lazy\" allow=\"fullscreen; storage-access\" title=\"Lighthouse Ameland by Rachel van Balen\"></iframe>","cache_age":3600}
