Thuis by Daniël Heynen

THUIS (home) brings Limburg’s history and present day to life. At the heart of this mural is Saint Christopher, also known as Sjtuf. He is a legend, the patron saint of all travellers, and represents the feeling of home for the residents of Roermond. Here, Sjtuf plants his staff in the fertile soil of Roermond, from which oranges grow, symbolising the many talents that exist there and continue to flourish. The well-known rays of light shining from above and place Roermond in the spotlight.
