Conxuro para unha estabilidade by Milu Correch

Following the series of murals that Milu has been developing in recent times (in which she plays with the idea of the spell and with the representation of women as a magician or healer to find solutions or cures to contemporary gender issues), in this case, she shows two empowered women performing a new spell to get the desired stability. The use of the figure of the woman as a magician or witch, carrier of a deeper knowledge and therefore, socially feared, and the fact of stripping it of all the negative nuance historically linked to it, is a declaration of intentions and a feminist argument. An impeccable, meticulous and accurate work, precise in the brushstroke and in the play of light and shadow, with a palette of desaturated colors that follows the stile of the series of previous spells and that situates us in semi-abandoned environments, in which necessarily sprout new resistance movements. This work is part of Rexenera Fest 2018.
