1.0 rich Street Art Cities https://streetartcities.com Tijdens het weekend van 11 en 12 juli 2026 vond de tweede editie van het Nashtival plaats. Tijdens het Nashtival wordt het overlijden van 'Limburger King' Nash, de artiestennaam van Werner Zwakhalzen, herdacht. Vele graffitiartiesten tekenden weer present om bij wijze van muurschilderingen eer te betonen aan hun overleden vriend. Het festival vond weer plaats rondom jeugdhuis Fuego, het hoofdkwartier van de Love Letters crew en de plaats waar de uitvaartdienst van Nash plaatsvond. Tijdens het Nastival 2026 werd in Fuego ook het boek 'Master of Puppets' over Nash voorgesteld. Dit werk is van Bartkore de artiestennaam van Bart Bosmans, die vooral bekend is voor zijn kenmerkende Puppets: expressieve zwart-witte, stripachtige figuren die te zien zijn op muren, bruggen, verlaten gebouwen en legale graffitiplaatsen in heel Limburg en daarbuiten.In 2026 presenteerde Bartkore een solotentoonstelling getiteld „Sjoen sjeif is ouch recht“ (Mooi krom is ook recht) in Weert (Nederland), waarmee hij liet zien dat zijn artistieke praktijk verder reikt dan graffiti en zich ook uitstrekt tot schilderijen en galeriewerk.Opgelet: deze muurschildering is alleen volledig waar te nemen als de rolluiken gesloten zijn.Je kan alle werken voor het 'Nashtival 2026' hier bekijken. The Nashtival commemorates the death of ‘Limburger King’ Nash, the artist name of Werner Zwakhalzen. Many graffiti artists turned up to pay tribute to their late friend through murals. The festival took place once again around the Fuego youth centre, the headquarters of the Love Letters crew and the venue for Nash’s funeral service. During Nastival 2026, the book 'Master of Puppets', about Nash, was also launched at Fuego.This work is by Bartkore – the artist name of Bart Bosmans – who is best known for his distinctive ‘Puppets’: expressive black-and-white, comic-strip-style figures that can be seen on walls, bridges, derelict buildings and legal graffiti sites throughout Limburg and beyond.In 2026, Bartkore presented a solo exhibition entitled ‘Sjoen sjeif is ouch recht’ (Beautifully crooked is also straight) in Weert (the Netherlands), demonstrating that his artistic practice extends beyond graffiti to include paintings and gallery work.Please note: this mural can only be fully viewed when the shutters are closed.You can check all the works for ‘Nashtival 2026’ here.
