Untitled by Epsylon Point, Enjoy

The mural combines a vividly coloured abstract background with dark stencil motifs and a handwritten line of French text. Across the upper section, the inscription reads: “en 99 jours des milliers de cadavres jonchaient le champ de bataille” — “In 99 days, thousands of corpses littered the battlefield.” The artwork occupies an opening in a historic stone façade, whose architecture frames the composition. The attribution to Epsylon Point is consistent with the French artist’s established practice. Born in 1950, he is recognised as a pioneer of colour stencil art within the French street-art scene. His characteristic approach combines freely painted, intensely coloured backgrounds with stencil imagery and text addressing social and political themes. In 2024, the city of Laon dedicated a retrospective to Epsylon Point and invited him for an artist residency. During this period, he produced further works in and around the historic upper town.
