SNOW Block by Katherine Shaughnessy

SNOW stands for "slightly north of Washington" because it is just north of the Washington Elementary School and is located between 15th and 16th streets. The SNOW Block was a project started by long-time North End resident Linda Whittig's and began with an interest in growing blackberries. Realizing the alley received a lot of sunshine, she and her husband brought together the neighborhood to build trellises all along the alley and it grew into a community space. To celebrate five years, this mural was created in 2020.
