Il a eu envie d'une œuvre plus douce, représentant le côté pittoresque du centre ville de Mons qu'il aime tant. Des couleurs pastelles, un personnage endormi veillant sur sa ville, une étreinte … Tout ça semblait symboliser pour lui l'attachement que les Montois ont pour leur ville. ----------------------------------------------------------As the initial theme was Mons' heritage, the artist decided to call the fresco “Ma ville s'endort”. He wanted a softer work, representing the picturesque side of Mons town centre that he loves so much. Pastel colours, a sleeping figure watching over his city, an embrace... All this seemed to him to symbolise the attachment that the people of Mons have for their city.
