Untitled by Tekencollectief TecKel

Northern, Central and Southern Europe are depicted in these murals. For all three, a combination of an animal and an edible plant or fruit that symbolizes the area was sought. A reindeer and blueberries for the north, a badger and apples for Central Europe and olives and a turtle for the south. Thijs Persijn and Liesbeth Verhoeven formed the drawing collective Teckeltekent.nl (that I'm not quite sure still exists). Together with housing consultant Gwen Hofland and a student they supervised this neighborhood initiative. With these murals WonenBreburg shows that it does more than just renting out houses: a nice, beautiful neighborhood promotes living together. The murals are an example of a wonderful neighbourhood collaboration.
