Eleven artists painted eleven façades, each connected to a field of research based in the city.The sea forgets nothing. Yessiow’s mural "The Ocean Remembers" shows a young woman resting amid a stylised underwater world of corals, kelp and marine forms, as if listening to a memory older than humankind. Within MURAL CITY – Beauty of Science, Yessiow's work reaches across to the study of the ocean floor. She stands for the curiosity that looks beyond the visible, to where the smallest organisms and deepest layers hold vital clues to Earth's past and future. MURAL CITY is a project by URVANGARDE e. Yessiows Wandbild „The Ocean Remembers“ zeigt eine junge Frau, die inmitten einer stilisierten Unterwasserwelt aus Korallen, Seetang und Meeresformen ruht, als lausche sie einer Erinnerung, die älter ist als der Mensch. Beim MURAL CITY – Beauty of Science spannt Yessiows Arbeit einen Bogen zur Erforschung des Ozeanbodens. Sie steht für die Neugier, die über das Sichtbare hinausblicken lässt, dorthin, wo kleinste Organismen und tiefste Schichten entscheidende Hinweise auf Vergangenheit und Zukunft der Erde bergen.
