Created using spray techniques, the artwork merges urban art with historical memory to bring the splendor of the Empire into the present.On the left, a Roman leader clad in golden armor and a red cape represents power and strategy. On the right, a female warrior symbolizes equality and the strength of the people. At the center, a scene depicting Roman streets and citizens serves as a reminder that the Empire was not only about military glory but also about daily life, culture, and community.This mural is a tribute to history and the people of Canteras, blending contemporary art with the city’s Roman past. A fusion of creativity and history that keeps Cartagena’s identity alive through time.The title, “K-ArtHago Nova: Ars, Populus et Imperium”, plays with Cartagena’s Roman name, Carthago Nova, integrating art and the artist’s identity: “K” for Kato, his artistic name; “Art” as a symbol of creativity; and “Hago” (Spanish for “I do” or “I create”), reflecting the act of making art.
