Greetings from Richmond by Mickael Broth, Ross Trimmer

This new 2026 Greetings from Richmond mural replaces the more colorful 2020 version and its depictions of the Richmond Black Lives Matter protests (and local police pepper spraying citizens), LGBTQ+, and Covid-era imagery. The 2020 mural (itself a repaint of the 2016 original) was summarily whitewashed in 2025, allegedly at the behest of Ted and Katie Ukrop, owners of the building. In 2026, the Ukrops commissioned a new, grayscale-predominant, and perhaps more politically neutral postcard mural from the original artists, that honors the late Valentine Museum director Bill Martin.
