The mural depicts a gigantic cetacean painted together with an octopus with long, enveloping tentacles. The work is inspired by the geological-paleontological discoveries of the Allerone area, in particular the recent discovery of a cetacean skeleton, dating back to three million years ago, now preserved in the Pietrafitta museum.
