His style uniquely combines the codes of classic graffiti, comic book illustration, animation, and contemporary surrealism. An analysis of the mural reveals the fundamental traits of his artistic identity:Anthropomorphic and marine hybridization: The central and unmistakable motif of his work is the fusion of fish bodies with human characteristics. In this case, the creatures' heads are stylized human faces in profile, with pink lips and serene or contemplative expressions.Fins shaped like hands: One of MAR's most recognizable visual signatures is replacing the pectoral or caudal fins of his fish with human hands with elongated, pointed fingers. In the upper piece, the fish's tail takes the form of an open hand, while in the lower one, the fingers simulate the front fins. Influence of Animation and Comics: The author's professional background in traditional animation studios (such as MagicToons) strongly influences his technique. This is evident in the use of very clean black outlines, hatching-based shading, and a highly stylized character design.Narrative of "The Tourist" and Travelers: MAR often describes his hybrid characters as "Tourists," using them as a visual metaphor for the human condition: floating, nomadic, and observant beings who travel from one space to another in this world. The characters floating in the gray space simulates this constant "swimming" or transit through the urban environment.
