Substraction by SODA

This mural was created by artist SODA on the wall of a gymnasium belonging to the City of Valence as part of the 2025 edition of the Walls&Love festival. In “Subtraction,” Soda has created a striking work in which his abstract black-and-white design is inscribed on the raw concrete façade.Playing with 3D and depth effects, his work creates a dialogue with the building's architecture through an illusion of openness on the façade, revealing and unveiling the building's interior.Using a precise and masterful spray painting technique, SODA's skill in manipulating light and shadow allows him to create a unique work in which the visual illusion offers and reveals a new interpretation of the building's architecture.
