Untitled by Theo Haggai

Since my first interventions in the streets of Paris in 2025, I have been developing a practice that consists of transforming ordinary marks of urban space into works of art. I am interested in those details that we end up no longer seeing: the imperfections of a wall, the traces of time, damaged or incomplete places. In Bouville, Barentin, and Limésy, I discovered new places and new forms to work with. Each intervention arises from an encounter with an existing detail, which I transform before replacing it where I found it. The artwork thus remains linked to its environment, like a discreet trace of my presence. What interests me is bringing forth a presence where we previously saw only an imperfection. By changing our perspective on these modest elements, I also hope to remind us that what is damaged, neglected, or deemed uninteresting can still have something to tell us.Standing beneath this Norman arch, I couldn’t help but imagine, tucked away in one corner, an engraving depicting infinite solidarity. This piece is one of dozens of engravings installed last month for the latest edition of the festival. Keep your eyes peeled – I’ve placed some in Bouville, as well as in Limésy and Barentin. I’m working on one project after another, both here and further afield, and it’s largely thanks to you, your support and the way you share my work, that my work is reaching new horizons.”
