"Robins" by Nathan Brown

More about this one here.120ft x 25ft spray paint & acrylics on brick.Painting this piece was very nostalgic for me, as I grew up skateboarding in this parking lot, because my Mom worked in the building next door for years. I also definitely tagged this and surrounding buildings when I was a teen, haha. Full circle. The client is an insurance company that has served Nashville and beyond for the past 40 years and they wanted a piece to transform the building with rigid geometric greyscales and pops of red which are their brand colors, to make a statement in a neighborhood filled with record labels and studios. I created a piece that eluded to floating shapes with movement, rigidity and clean lines. Going from skateboarding and tagging in this parking lot when I was a kid, to painting a huge mural years later, was a definite feel good moment :)
