Shared Responsibility by Sam Lo

“Shared Responsibility” combines five different stories reflecting on humanity’s role on the world and the natural environment. Five different ecosystems are highlighted in this mural- the seas, wetlands, pollinators, the animal kingdom and the skies- each playing a vital role in our shared ecosystem. The stories are joined by the DNA double helix running through the middle, a vital component we share with all sentient beings and a reminder that we are responsible for all life and the care of our planet. This mural measures 60m x 6 stories high and was painted solo by the artist across 49 working days, making this possibly the largest mural painted by a single person in Singapore.
