Using a combination of spray and acrylic techniques, my intention was to capture a dialogue between our inherited past and the future we are building in this municipality.In the mural, the figure of the girl represents the living present of the Silbo Gomero. She is the symbol of a tradition that endures—a unique whistled language declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Here, the whistle merges with the peaks and the sea of our people, reminding us of the importance of our culture, from its most emblematic figures to its most ancestral customs.The heart of the composition is a gaze framed by hands, inspired by the sensitivity of Cesarina Bento, a pioneer of Canarian poetry. Through her eyes, I also reflect the warmth of the Bonfires of San Marcos (Hogueras de San Marcos), whose flames light up Agulo every year in a night of deep emotion. For me, this mural is a symbol of memory and belonging, a window into the essence of this place.As Cesarina herself wrote in her verses:"Oh!
