Trans Conquest by Ariel Ocampo

Mural to honor 10 years since the enactment of the Gender Identity Law, portraying 10 activists trans people from Córdoba who have already disappeared, who worked on the construction of that law. Daniela María Aguirre, Eugenio Talbot, Karina Romero, Selene Colantonio (Nati), Estrella Belén Sánchez, Azul Montoro, Luna Abigail Belloti, Aimé Farrah, Octavio Herencia and Laura Moyano. From this proposal, it was chosen to work on the portrait in close-up, taking into account that the public visibility of the faces specificities of people, reinforces the concept of identity, especially when it comes to identities denied for a long time. The painting was done on a wall measuring 32 x 4.75 m (142.40 m²), located on the North Coast of the Suquía River, between the bridge Sarmiento and the access stairs to Costanera from Libertad Street in the General Paz neighborhood. This location, added to its dimensions, means that the mural can be contemplated from different points of view and with different reading routes: can read as a whole.
