Sunny Diversity by Elsa Martino

“Sunny Diversity” is a vibrant mural co-created by French illustrator Elsa Martino and ninth-grade students from Joséphine Baker Middle School during a workshop from July 5-7. Highlighting the importance of inclusive environmental discussions, the mural incorporates diverse voices. Elsa and climate trainer Chloé Chesneau guided students through creative and reflective activities, culminating in this public art piece. -Elsa Martino is a young illustrator based in Paris whose work is heavily influenced by 1980s and 1990s visuals. She often draws inspiration from magazines of these periods, captivated by their exaggeration, postures, framing, and staging. In her art, Elsa focuses on capturing curves and attitudes. She likes to work in different mediums and has worked with several high-profile brands.
