1.0 rich Street Art Cities https://streetartcities.com Located at the Molendinar Community Centre, Royston Road, Glasgow. The Community Commonwealth Mural was painted by Alex Coyle (aka Alko ) and is a permanent legacy of the Glasgow Games. It celebrates the people, places and projects that make Blackhill and Provanmill unique. It was developed through a series of community workshops involving local residents, young people and organisations. The mural aims to reflect Commonwealth values of Humanity, Equality and Destiny while highlighting key parts of community life, including local wildlife, green spaces and youth initiatives.Among the mural's central features are local young people exploring nearby parks, and the Molendinar Burn, the waterway around which Glasgow was founded, symbolising hope for the future and strong community connections. The artwork also celebrates St Paul's Youth Forum's On Bikes project and its partnership with Barlinnie Bike Works. Through the initiative, donated and abandoned bikes are refurbished by people in custody at HMP Barlinnie before being redistributed to people across North East Glasgow and beyond.Organisers say the project increases access to cycling while helping participants gain practical Ad skills and qualifications. The artwork is a fine addition to the area. muralsscotland https://streetartcities.com/users/b5b40d2e-a8ef-4c87-a6bd-bb555ac887b2 https://streetartcities.com/media/3/3baa45e7-10a2-436d-98d1-5408a4cb1b34/1024.webp 1024 480 480 <iframe src="https://streetartcities.com/markers/8337db38-45b4-4a69-aa96-a514d1dd1f02/embed" width="480" height="480" style="border:none;border-radius:12px;max-width:100%;" loading="lazy" allow="fullscreen; storage-access" title="The Community Commonwealth Mural by Alko"></iframe> 3600
