Nato nel 1984 a Belo Horizonte, ha partecipato a festival in oltre venti paesi - tra cui Artscape in Svezia, Nuart in Scozia e UpFest nel Regno Unito - sviluppando una ricerca che si muove all'intersezione tra pittura classica, arte urbana e indagine botanica contemporanea.A Montespertoli, Mazza ha scelto di lavorare con le due piante che da secoli definiscono questo paesaggio e la sua identità produttiva: la vite e l'olivo. Prima di dipingere, le ha studiate, osservate, fotografate sul territorio, indagandone la struttura, la texture e il modo in cui la luce le attraversa. Il risultato, su una superficie di via Martini 36, è un'opera in grado di raccontare il borgo oltre che decorarlo, restituendo allo sguardo del visitatore qualcosa che c'è sempre stato, ma che raramente si è fermato a guardare.A Testa Alta A.P.S. e Street Levels Gallery uniscono le forze per portare l'arte urbana contemporanea a Montespertoli attraverso FORME – Festival di Arte Pubblica. A Testa Alta, attiva dal 2017, sviluppa progetti che collegano arte, musica ed educazione in Italia e in Europa, promuovendo la partecipazione culturale e l'apprendimento non formale. Street Levels Gallery, la prima galleria internazionale di arte urbana di Firenze, esplora linguaggi sperimentali dello spazio pubblico e collabora a livello globale per sostenere la creatività urbana. Insieme al Comune di Montespertoli e alla Fondazione CR Firenze, curano un festival con artisti come Luca Zamoc, Manolo Mesa, Nelio, Nespoon, Skan, Thiago Mazza e Ufo Cinque._________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________The first FORME work was created by Thiago Mazza, one of the leading exponents of contemporary Brazilian muralism, internationally recognized for his extraordinary ability to restore flora to public spaces. Born in 1984 in Belo Horizonte, he has participated in festivals in over twenty countries—including Artscape in Sweden, Nuart in Scotland, and UpFest in the United Kingdom—developing a research that moves at the intersection of classical painting, urban art, and contemporary botanical exploration.In Montespertoli, Mazza chose to work with the two plants that have defined this landscape and its productive identity for centuries: the vine and the olive tree. Before painting, he studied, observed, and photographed them in the area, investigating their structure, texture, and the way light passes through them. The result, on a surface at Via Martini 36, is a work that narrates the village as well as decorates it, restoring to the visitor's gaze something that has always been there, but which has rarely been seen.A Testa Alta A.P.S. and Street Levels Gallery join forces to bring contemporary urban art to Montespertoli through FORME – Festival di Arte Pubblica. Street Levels Gallery, Florence’s first international urban‑art gallery, explores experimental languages of public space and collaborates globally to support urban creativity.
