Rollschuhbahn Prinz-Albrecht-Park

This oval that was originally planted with roses, was once the grand entrance to Prinz-Albrecht-Park. In 1941, it was converted into a fire-fighting pond, and in 1950, it was paved with concrete. After years of dispair, in 2024 the area was renovated upon initiative and with support of Braunschweig-born basketball player Dennis Schröder, who was discovered on the street courts of the area to kick-off his international career. After its re-opening in December of 2024, the youth and skate park host a versatile skating parcours and a number of basketball courts (full and half) and is sourrounded by many benches and spots to rest.
