<title>Fresque des Lyonnais by Cite Creation</title>
<description>Created between 1994 and 1995, this monumental mural depicts famous Lyonnais:"Not a day goes by without me being ogled, photographed. It is my lot, my destiny. Soon 30 years that I have been part of the landscape, at the foot of the Croix-Rousse hill, with my back to the Quai Saint-Vincent. Progress has slipped into the skin of the Fresque des Lyonnais. At the time, in the early 90s, the mayor of the city, Michel Noir, saw a fresco in Barcelona, The Balcony of the Catalans. He was impressed and wanted the equivalent. This long street was chosen, and my mission was to "punctuate it with a point of interest. The company Cité Création is taking on the task. At 2, rue de la Martinière, on two blind walls, I am painted. 800 to 1,000 kg of paint and more than 1,000 shades are needed. For a month, three people are assigned to the project, in conjunction with a steering committee. Based on their sketch, 10 artists shape me for 5 months."</description>
