V naději, že ten den nikdy nepřijde by CONVICT

“V naději, že ten den nikdy nepřijde” (Hoping That the Day Will Never Come) by Conrad Eric Armstrong & Viktor Valášek a.k.a. CONVICT.Created for Art Week Liberec 2024, the mural marks the entrance to a civil defense bunker beneath Sokolovské Square in Liberec. It incorporates existing wall elements (a central circular form, surface cracks, and traces of graffiti) and reworks them into a new composition related to shelter and protection. The work draws on the idea of a sacred space as a place of refuge for human needs, presenting objects considered worthy of protection—things that might deserve their own “bunkers.”
