Departing from the traditional bound figure, the saint stands with free arms in a powerful gesture of resistance and dignity. Stylised arrows pierce his body; blood becomes vivid paint; adjacent Roman soldiers echo Mantegna’s Renaissance iconography, reinterpreted through metallic reflections, pop‑graphic halos, and a contemporary urban language.
