Medieval city scenes by Iwona Liegmann

Commissioned by the City Council in 2010. On the fence wall of the former Kurk Fraternity house at 11/15 Przedzamcze Street in the Old Town, scenes relating to medieval Toruń are depicted. So we have city towers (in one of them a romantic and fabulous motif of an imprisoned princess), knights, alluring townsfolk, musicians, two knights feasting at a table, elsewhere the Vistula River flows with merchant ships to the port of Toruń, further on St. George fights a dragon. All of this is united by floral tendrils, herbs and roses, as well as vines appearing here and there.
