The Bookworm by highlightz

This artwork is a modern Interpretation of Carl Spitzwegs painting „The Bookworm“ from around 1850. While Spitzweg‘s painting shows an old white man looking for a certain Book in his private library, this new and fresh interpretation shows a young woman totally immersed in reading with all her favourite books lying around her. The artwork can be found on the side wall of the bookstore „Der kleine Laden“ adjoining the new Budefok Park. It was comissioned by Hans Riegel Stiftung and is part of the project „Walls of Vision“.
