Eleven artists painted eleven façades, each connected to a field of research based in the city.Matter follows mind. Zark's mural “Laminar Dream” makes this idea visible: a boy follows his ideas as they take shape as paper planes and drift off, as directed as a laminar flow in which nothing breaks the current. One of the planes is not made of paper but of water, an emblem of flight itself: of the currents that carry it, and of a flight whose only trace is water. So the playful imagination of today remains the blueprint for the reality of tomorrow. Within MURAL CITY – Beauty of Science, Zark's work opens a door to aerospace. Whether at an aircraft's wing or in the ascent of a rocket, it comes down to the same question: how do forces and flows move, and how can they be mastered? MURAL CITY is a project by URVANGARDE e. Zarks Wandbild „Laminar Dream“ macht diesen Gedanken sichtbar: Ein Junge sieht seinen Ideen nach, die als Papierflieger Gestalt annehmen und davonziehen, gerichtet wie eine laminare Strömung, in der nichts den Fluss bricht. Einer der Flieger ist nicht aus Papier, sondern aus Wasser, ein Sinnbild für das Fliegen selbst: für die Strömungen, die es tragen, und für einen Flug, dessen einzige Spur Wasser ist. So bleibt die verspielte Vorstellungskraft von heute die Blaupause für die Wirklichkeit von morgen. Beim MURAL CITY – Beauty of Science öffnet Zarks Arbeit ein Tor zur Luft- und Raumfahrt. Ob am Flügel eines Flugzeugs oder im Aufstieg einer Rakete, überall geht es um dieselbe Frage: Wie bewegen sich Kräfte und Strömungen, und wie lassen sie sich beherrschen?
